From the " Bikepark " to the ski season: " Winterberg " is getting ready for winter

The days are getting shorter, the forests around Winterberg are turning autumnal colors, and the biking season is also drawing to a close. At Erlebnisberg Kappe , the next change of season is just around the corner: While Bikepark will go on winter break starting November 9, 2026, preparations for the upcoming 2026/2027 winter season are already underway at Skiliftkarussell Winterberg .

November: Time for the change of seasons

After an eventful season, the Bikepark Winterberg will begin its winter break on November 9, 2026. In November, the time will be used to prepare the facilities and grounds for the cold season. At the same time, work on the ski resort is in full swing to get everything ready for the winter season.

Lifts and slopes are being prepared for the ski season, technical equipment is being inspected, and the conditions for snowmaking are being established. Modern snowmaking technology plays an important role in this process: Thanks to innovative all-weather snowmaking systems, snow can even be produced at temperatures above freezing under the right conditions. This creates additional opportunities to kick off the winter season as early as possible.

2026/2027 Ski Season: The season is scheduled to begin on November 27

Winter sports enthusiasts should mark November 27, 2026, on their calendars. The new ski season at the Skiliftkarussell Winterberg is set to begin on that day. Up to six kilometers of slopes are planned for the opening. How many slopes and lifts will actually be open depends on weather conditions and how preparations go!

This is fueling the excitement for the first runs on the snow and for a new winter season in the Sauerland.
