With ski and snowboard on the slopes
Winterberg has the largest ski area in the Sauerland. Over 25 modern lifts connect a total of 34 runs. From various practice slopes to the steepest downhill run north of the Alps, Skiliftkarussell Winterberg offers a wide range of activities for both absolute beginners and professionals. Large and modern snow-making facilities allow an extensive winter season for all ski and snowboarders. As all snow-covered slopes are connected to each other, it is possible to access Skiliftkarussell at many points in Winterberg . From Hostel Erlebnisberg Kappe you can reach the first lifts on foot after only 250 metres. In the evening, beginners, advanced skiers and spectators meet for an après-ski in one of the numerous, rustic huts in and around the ski area.
The advantage for all Hostel guests: directly in the house is the Ski rental Brinkmann! Here you can ski easily and comfortably. Boots, snowboards, boots and sledges can be rented!
When cross-country skiing, pull relaxed over the tracks
In addition to alpine sports, Winterberg also has a wide range of offers for all cross-country skiers. Circuits with groomed trails from five to twelve kilometers promise pure variety for all levels of ability - even for skaters. Up to 150 kilometres of signposted cross-country trails are at your disposal.

Tobogganing fun for big and small
If you prefer to travel without boards under your feet, tobogganing is a possible alternative for you. Special toboggan runs have lifts that take you and the toboggan back to the top. So you can still enjoy rapid descents and don't have to give up your snow pleasure.
Footprints in the snow
Hiking enthusiasts also get their money's worth in winter. On foot you can discover nature in its winter dress. Venture into the deep snow or use the cleared paths. A large number of rustic huts and inns invite you to warm up and linger. And if the deep snow is too strenuous for you, then try snowshoeing.
