The 49 rooms of our hostel can accommodate up to 150 people. The shared rooms are practically and functionally furnished: Beside the beds you will find a wardrobe and a table with chairs. The equipment at youth hostel level is simple, but very comfortable and cosy.
From the Schullandheim in Winterberg to the inexpensive hotel
Our inexpensive hotel in Winterberg is a house with history, but which is constantly becoming more modern. The hotel was opened around 1900, during the Second World War it was used as a military hospital. Later our house became the school country home of the city of Bochum. And today the rooms are a popular cheap accommodation in Winterberg for all those who are not looking for luxury but want to be outside.
For couples and families who would like to book a cheap overnight stay at Winterberg , there is a room with a double bed and a family room with a double bed and a bunk bed in our Hostel The other double rooms are twin rooms with two single beds or rooms with bunk beds; on request these rooms can also be booked as single rooms.
Among the shared rooms there are three, four and five-bed rooms. You will either have your own WC and shower or you can use our newly renovated showers on the floor. These also offer you plenty of privacy: they are separated by gender and you can lock yourself in each shower cabin alone.
For smaller groups of up to 14 people we recommend our attic floor: here you will find a few particularly cosy rooms with carpeted floors as well as a public lounge area with table tennis tables and dart board.
Our hotel is located directly at Bikepark and in the ski area
In winter our house is the perfect starting point for adventures on the slopes: Our hotel is located directly in the skiing area of Skiliftkarussell Winterberg . This is an absolute plus, especially for beginners: During your lunch break you can take a break, warm up and strengthen yourself with a little snack at Hostel . You can also get your winter sports equipment right here with us in our own ski rental. And real winter sports fans can easily reach the winter sports facilities such as the St. Georg ski jump or the Veltins Ice Arena, where the Bobsleigh & Toboggan World Championships are regularly held.
Also in summer you can move with us: Our hotel is located directly at the Bikepark and trail park and in the middle of the Bike Arena Sauerland. If you like hiking during your vacation, you can quickly reach the Rothaarsteig from our convenient Hostel .
After all these adventures, you need a break? In our group rooms, the lounge or the cosy TV room you can let the day come to an end. If you want to relax your muscles, you can sweat a little in our sauna. And of course you can also book our party room for your class trip, club trip or family trip to Winterberg and celebrate together in the evening!
