Biking, skiing, hiking - everything right on our doorstep!
The Hostel Erlebnisberg Kappe is a sporty house. Not only cyclists, skiers and hikers get their money's worth here. Around our accommodation there are numerous possibilities to be active in sports. We are happy to help you with this and can also lend you skis directly in the house, for example. From season 2019 we also offer the rental of MTB bikes in the house.
However, we are not only the ideal starting point for all activities and leisure programmes, but also offer many possibilities to become active directly at the house.
In and around the house you have for example the possibility to play against each other on our soccer field, to throw a few baskets with the basketball or to show what you can do at the summer curling. Compete in small competitions and find out for yourself who is best.
Do you manage to keep your balance on the slackline? We have additional table tennis tables on our roof level, which of course can also be used in bad weather. With our kickers we offer you an old but always exciting classic. You can rent and/or buy the necessary equipment at our reception.
If you are on the road with your bike in summer or with your ski or snowboard equipment in winter, you can deposit your equipment in our bike/ski cellar. Here you will find a compressor, tools for small screw work, a water connection for cleaning the bikes and a drying room for wet clothes. We are also happy to lend you bikes in the house itself.
In the winter months even the branch of the ski rental Brinkmann opens directly in our Hostel. Here you can get your equipment as a guest even with an extra discount. The ski area is less than 300 meters away. So you can sleep right next to the piste and start your winter adventure without stress and in a relaxed way.
Summer and winter - there is always something going on here!
There's no standing still. In Winterberg it is sporty all year round! Even if you are interested, but don't want to or can't get active yourself, there is a lot to see! Every year the IXS Dirt Masters takes place. Here bikers show their skills on the most different tracks with rapid descents and daring jumps. At the Veltins EisArena, professional athletes regularly race through the ice canal and then compete in the world championships of the various disciplines. At Winterberg's landmark, the St. Georg ski jump, ski jumpers and budding talents polish their technique time and again. In the neighbouring town of Willingen the World Cup even takes place every year.
This is another way to observe the hustle and bustle of the athletes. There are enough viewpoints from which one has a perfect view of the different sports facilities in Winterberg or the Sauerland. Whether amateur or professional - watching is both fascinating and entertaining.
